"First Day" is the first single from The Futureheads's debut self-titled album, and also their first-ever single. It was released on August 4, 2003 in the United Kingdom.[1] It was released as a CD Single, and two 7" Singles which were red and clear, limited to 500 copies each.

"Piece of Crap" is a cover of the Neil Young and Crazy Horse song of the same name which originally appeared on the 1994 album Sleeps With Angels.

First Day is the theme tune for Dirty Sanchez's second series, which is titled: 'Jobs For The Boyos'.
